We stumbled on this restaurant one evening looking for someplace to eat. It was about a half hour before they closed but they still offered the Korean BBQ for part of our meal. Since we were in the mood for sushi we did not attempt the other side (BBQ). I love the concept though! I like the mix of food. This is much closer to our house than another place we go to, so this was perfect. The service was good. Th food was delicious and seating was decent.
My ONLY ONE PET-PEEVE ABOUT THIS PLACE WAS FOR SOME CRAZY REASON THERE WAS A FLOOD LIGHT FLICKERING ON AN OFF AND IT WAS SOOOOOOOOO CRAZY IRRITATING TO MY HUSBAND and I. This is why I only give them 4 stars. It was so obnoxious that this light flashes on and off at various times. It may have been a security camera light. I never figured it out! They have many mini flood lights in there, so every time I turned around to see where it was coming from I could not tell since I would be looking at 10-12 lights! Our backs were toward it, but every time I turned to my husband it would catch my eye. So fricken irritating. If the owner is reading this PLEASE fix that! We were sitting at the sushi bar. -

All you can eat was pretty delicious. They forgot some items on my menu twice, but I just ordered them on the next round. Sushi was delicious and tastes fresh. I specifically remember the shrimp being super flavorful for Illinois. My favorite roll was called downers grove (I think) absolutely to die for.... but WAY TOO LARGE.
The dessert cakes are yummy too make sure you try each flavor. -

As a person who eats sushi weekly, My girlfriend and I decided to check out Naper Sushi since it's close to my place. I usually go to a new place without any expectations to maximize the experience. However there was no way but to describe how awful it was from start to finish. Our server didn't introduce herself and after putting in our order, she gave us the wrong order and she never checked on us until one of the chefs pointed out that it wasn't the right table for the order until 15 mins after, she then proceeded to take the plate without apologizing about what had happened. When we got our order, we immediately noticed how the ratio of rice was three times the size of the fish under it and it made our stomach turn. After eating a few pieces, our server began vacuuming the floor near our table and dust started flying around our food. The last time she checked up on us was to get our food. Which had been an hour past. Our water wasn't refilled and we were so disgusted with the food we ended up not finishing it, the owner then came to us and said that she will give us 50% on the left over food but we wouldn't risk the food that had dust all over it.
Worst sushi experience ever.
